The Stuff of Refashioning

19 Jan

One of the best parts of this passionate hobby of refashioning jewelry is meeting cool people through their blogs and websites. And some of these very cool people pass on to me the jewelry they can’t use and it’s like Christmas and birthday rolled into one when their boxes arrive in the mail.

Honestly, I am the kid in the candy store over these baubles! This box came from April over at Knocked Up and Fabulous:

Lika, who runs EcoBling Couture was a huge influence on me when I was first starting out because there were so few refashioned jewelry designers who really had a great eye. She’s one of the best as far as I’m concerned. Lika recently sent me all these goodies:

Another box of awesome stuff was handed to me by one of my students. It contained all sorts of bits and bobs, and an empty vintage Limoge lipstick container!

Many others give me their single earrings and broken strands and unused hobby stuff, and I can honestly say I use all of it!

Can’t wait to get back to my bench and start designing again….but first I have to unbury my tools and get back in the refashioning groove.
